DPI Checker FAQ
What is DPI?
DPI means dots per inch. It tells a printer how large to print the image. It does not change how a photo looks on screen.
Why does my image show no DPI?
Many web images and screenshots do not store a DPI value. In that case the tool shows the print size at 72, 150, 300 and 600 DPI.
Is DPI Checker free to use?
Yes. DPI Checker is completely free. There is no signup or account, and PenguPix does not add its own watermark to your files.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. DPI Checker runs in your browser, so your files stay on your device and are never uploaded to a server.
Does DPI Checker work on my phone?
Yes. It works in modern mobile and desktop browsers such as Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox.
